MEPA SEISMIC CABLE

    In cases where the installation of rigid systems is challenging due to increased suspension length or limited/crowded space, MEPA Seismic Steel Cable Sets offer an ideal and cost-effective alternative for the seismic protection of non-structural elements. These sets are available in 4 different types, designated as A, B, C, and D, based on the cable diameter. MEPA Seismic Steel Cable Sets can be applied to non-structural elements requiring seismic protection using various adapter components tailored to the project's requirements. The installation of connection components and the rope can be easily conducted in field conditions.     Seismic Steel Cable capacities have been designed in accordance with Turkey's seismic requirements, and they have been tested in compliance with ASHRAE standards, holding TUV certification.

MEPA SEISMIC BRACKET

    MEPA Seismic Brackets are produced as adapter parts for the connection of non-structural elements to the structural members using the MEPA Seismic Cable product, aiming to provide seismic protection for non-structural elements. For the connection to the steel structural member, bolts are used, while for the connection to the reinforced concrete structural member, seismic-certified steel anchors are used. These anchors are available in metric sizes of M8, M10, M12, M16 or imperial sizes of 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8". MEPA Seismic Brackets enable the attachment of bolts or seismic steel anchors to the structural members.     MEPA Seismic Brackets can be used on both sides of the MEPA Seismic Cable product as per the requirements. Usage limitations for non-structural elements, which are influenced by seismic loads, are determined through engineering calculations. MEPA Seismic Brackets come in 4 types: A, B, C, and D. Product capacities are designed in compliance with Turkey's seismic requirements and have been tested alongside MEPA Seismic Cable products in accordance with ASHRAE standards, holding TUV certification.

MEPA SEISMIC RETROFIT

    Mepa Seismic Retrofits are produced as adapter parts for connecting non-structural elements to the MEPA Seismic Steel Cable product, aiming to provide seismic protection for these non-structural elements. There are four types of Mepa Seismic Brackets, namely A, B, C, and D, which are determined based on engineering calculations considering the earthquake loads affecting the non-structural element subject to usage limitations. The product capacities have been designed in accordance with Turkey's seismic requirements and tested in conjunction with Mepa Seismic Cable products, following ASHRAE standards. They are certified by TUV.

MEPA SEISMIC BEAM BRACKET

        Mepa Seismic Steel Beam Brackets are produced as adapter parts for connecting the MEPA Seismic Steel Cable product to structural steel beam elements, with the purpose of providing seismic protection for non-structural elements. There are two types of Mepa Seismic Steel Beam Brackets, designated as Type A and Type B, based on engineering calculations of the earthquake loads affecting the non-structural element to be applied.     The product capacities have been designed in accordance with Turkey's seismic requirements and tested in conjunction with Mepa Seismic Steel Cable products, following ASHRAE standards. They are certified by TUV. To achieve the product capacity values, it is necessary to follow the assembly instructions and apply appropriate bolt torque.

MEPA SEISMIC STEEL WIRE SLEEVE 

    Mepa Seismic Sleeves are used to secure the connection points of the seismic rope in Mepa Seismic Cable Set applications. Using the appropriate Mepa Seismic Swanging Tool and the relevant jaw, following proper ring tightening instructions, ensures compliance with the TUV/ASHRAE certification standard of the utilized Mepa Seismic Cable Set and its resistance value under earthquake loads.

MEPA SEISMIC SLEEVE SWAGING TOOL & CABLE CUTTER

    Mepa Seismic Swaging Tool are used to tighten Mepa Seismic Sleev at the connection points of the seismic wire in Mepa Seismic Steel Cable Set applications. Easy to use and ergonomic, Mepa Seismic Swaging Tools are available in two different types, A and B, varying according to the diameter of the wire used. Using the appropriate Mepa Seismic Swanging Tool and the relevant jaw, following proper tightening instructions, ensures compliance with the TUV/ASHRAE certification standard of the utilized Mepa Seismic Cable Set and its resistance under earthquake loads.

    The Mepa Seismic Cable Cutter is lightweight, suitable for overhead cutting, and features plastic-coated handles for a sturdy and comfortable grip. The Mepa Seismic Cable Cutter possesses the ability to cut all Mepa Seismic Cable products effectively. The use of Mepa Seismic Cable with a Seismic Sleeve can become challenging if the wire is crushed or deformed during cutting. Therefore, it is recommended to use the Mepa Seismic Cable Cutter for cutting Mepa Seismic Steel Cable to the required size.

MEPA ROD STIFFENER

    MEPA Rod Stiffener Locking Elements are utilized as a solution to counteract buckling and/or bending motions resulting from vertical compressive forces induced by seismic forces on non-structural elements such as hanger threaded rods. These elements are employed to secure L and G-shaped profiles in place. To maintain the desired positioning of the threaded rods, they incorporate a structure with a bolt-nut combination. For a stiffener-enhanced profile, it is recommended to utilize a minimum of 3 MEPA Profile Locking Elements, positioned at a maximum distance of 5 cm from both the top and bottom edges, as well as at the midpoint.

MEPA MS SEISMIC SNUBBER FAMILY

    MEPA MS Seismic Snubbers are designed to protect flexibly supported equipment against earthquakes or strong wind forces that can potentially displace them.     Selected based on calculations performed by our expert engineers, MEPA MS Seismic Snubbers effectively operate when placed under the foundation of equipment that has been isolated using MEPA Open Spring Isolators and/or MEPA Modular Vibration Isolation Pads, in addition to their vibration prevention functionality. When securely attached to the building's structural element, the MEPA MS A and MEPA MS C Type Snubbers control both horizontal and vertical movements, whereas the MEPA MS B Type Snubbers are designed solely for controlling horizontal equipment motion.     Thanks to their high-quality design and manufacturing processes, MEPA MS Seismic Snubbers are custom-designed to meet Turkey's seismic requirements. They have been tested according to ASHRAE standards and hold TUV certification.

    When the isolation of equipment from low-frequency disturbing vibrations and, simultaneously, the restriction against influences such as earthquakes or wind loads is necessary, the MEPA MI Seismic Spring Isolators, chosen based on calculations performed by our expert engineers, protect equipment from vibrations and lateral loads without requiring additional restraining elements.     MEPA MI Seismic Spring Isolators can be easily mounted to a structural element using bolts or anchor bolts. MEPA FS-K FREE STANDING ISOLATOR

    The MEPA FS-K Free Standing Isolator, which has a suitable deflection value, is required for isolating the vibration generated by the equipment at disturbing frequencies. It is recommended for all vibration control applications where there is no need to deal with lateral seismic and wind load issues or separate measures have been taken for these problems.     The MEPA FS-K Free Standing Isolators have two connection points on their base to allow mounting onto the structure using bolts or anchor bolts. In tall structures, if construction is to be carried out on a restricted steel beam, MEPA FS-K Free Standing Isolators offer an advantage by preventing the free beam from falling. To create a completely reliable isolator in terms of preventing vibration, MEPA FS-K Free Standing Isolators not only isolate low-frequency vibration through the action of the spring, but also provide the capability to isolate high-frequency vibration by incorporating a neoprene friction pad on the lower part of the spring, allowing for a combined isolation. Additionally, the adjustment bolt on the spring plate enables the alignment of the connected equipment, making it suitable.

MEPA PH PRE - STRESSED SPRING VIBRATION HANGER

    MEPA PH Pre-Stressed Spring Vibration Hanger is a solution used to prevent the transfer of vibration caused by pumps, fans or fluid circulation in non-structural suspended elements to structural elements. It restricts the displacement of isolated installations and devices with a high difference between installation and operational loads as a result of the application of 2/3 of the design load with the help of a pre-tensioning plate. This hanger works under the vertical weight of the equipment and provides low and high frequency vibration isolation by reaching the required collapse value determined by engineering calculations. The hollow design at its base allows a 30-degree movement of the rod without contact with the spring cabinet. Thus, it minimises the negative effects caused by vibration and provides a safer and more stable operation of the non-structural element.
